My favourite feature was the bathtub with a view over the gardens, pool and sea. The Kohinoor Suite has two bedrooms and a dining area, making it ideal for families.

Favourite features

What I loved about all the rooms and suites was the amount of natural light flowing in. But don’t worry, they have blackout blinds that roll down when the sun is too hot. I also liked the decor, which was elegant yet simple and not too ‘loud’.

My favourite feature was the free-standing bath in all the accommodation options. As a tall person, this is not just aesthetically pleasing, but essential for a comfortable soak! I also loved the privacy element in the villas, including the pools and gardens. Finally, the luxurious bed toppers and pillow menu ensure every comfort as you turn in for the night.

If you’re flying in from abroad, the nearest airport is Sharjah International. Dubai Airport offers more of an airport experience and has more airlines flying into it. Ras Al Khaimah Airport is another smaller airport option. Whichever you fly into, the hotel can arrange for you to be picked up.

If you’re driving, head down the E311/Mohammed bin Zayed Road. Coming from Ras Al Khaimah, take the exit for Al Zorah. From Dubai, take the Al Hamidiya exit and cross the highway, continuing for several miles until you see the exit for Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah. When you get to the large roundabout, turn left onto the Al Zorah peninsula and keep going until you see the sign for the Oberoi on the right.
