Friday Market, Masafi

Friday Market stall selling Emirati tea sets

At the Friday Market in Masafi, you can find many different shops and goods sold here, such as plants and trees, fruit and vegetables, carpets, traditional furniture, colourful sets for tea and Arabic coffee, toys.

After you’ve done your shopping, look out for little cafeterias for karak and paratha, stalls selling corn, and so on.

It’s lovely just for a visit and to feel the vibe, especially in the evenings, but you’re unlikely to come away without buying something! Be prepared to haggle though. Masafi Market is open every day 7am to 11pm.

Just before ADNOC coming from Fujairah, there’s also a family area for barbecuing, etc. with a mosque and toilets. (Not sure of the current regulations)

Before new roads were built, the market in Masafi was on the main route to Fujairah and Khor Fakkan, but the old road is well worth a detour if you’re heading to or from the east coast.
