The Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame is a remarkable architectural landmark among Dubai’s many new attractions. As the world’s largest frame, this beautiful structure offers marvellous views of the city.

About Dubai Frame

Dubai Frame consists of two vertical towers linked by a horizontal bridge at the top. Although it looks like it’s plated in gold, it’s actually gold-coloured stainless steel cladding.

The popular attraction opened in 2018 and sits within Zaabeel Park, measuring 150 metres tall and 93 metres wide.

What’s inside the Dubai Frame?

When you enter the stunning golden structure, you’ll pass through a small museum that presents the history of Dubai through interactive exhibits and multimedia displays, showcasing the city’s extraordinary evolution.

Next, you’ll move on to the present before the last step when you’re taken on a journey to the future.

Dubai Frame Sky Deck

After leaving the Dubai Frame museum, you’ll go in a glass elevator up 78 floors, getting your first glimpses of Dubai from above.

Once at the top of the Frame, you’ll have an amazing 360-degree view of the city. On one side lies ‘Old Dubai’, including old districts such as Al Karama, Umm Hurair, and Bur Dubai. On the opposite side, New Dubai emerges, with its iconic skyline of landmarks, such as Burj Khalifa.

One of its most remarkable features is the glass floor looking down to the park below. However, not everyone likes to walk on it, and you can easily keep to the sides if it makes you nervous.

The glass panels are only in the centre of the deck and, if you prefer, it can be avoided but moving straight to the sides when you come out the lift.

I visited with family, who were fine walking around the sides, but didn’t like the downward view at all.

Personally, I loved looking down! It’s not a spectacular view though, just one of the park below so you’re really not missing anything if you stick to the side views and do a loop.

The Frame Sky Deck also includes augmented reality screens with details about the landmarks you can see.

If you want to spend more time enjoying the glorious view, there is a cafe on the Observation Deck where you can enjoy good coffee and some snacks .
