Further along is the public beach. Although there are no facilities, its a beautiful white beach with turquoise sea of a morning. There is a public gym and a children’s play area on the corniche. Take me to the map

Mangrove Beach is at the end of the mangrove forest and there is a charge for entry and for camping. There are now facilities there.

See separate post on the mangrove forest and shore here. On the other side of the shore is another popular area with sand dunes along the shore .

You can access this area from the coastal road. Take me to the map

At Mangrove Beach is Mikoko Restaurant, kayaking, paddle boarding, padel and a couple of other food options.

It also has a fort and museum which you can see here.

Towards Ras al Khaimah is Dreamland water park and the abandoned plane, which is popular with photographers.

UAQ Marine Club lies at the tip of the peninsula and offers watersports, fishing, etc. (The abandoned plane was removed in 2022.)

Umm al Quwain also has a large desert with several towns and villages. The second largest town is Falaj al Mualla. You can see the fort and museum here.
