Al Qalaa Lodge (Fujairah)

Al Qalaa Lodge is definitely one of my favourite places to stay. With a real heritage feel to it, it has a large majlis/living room and two bedrooms. The roof terrace is my favourite place to hang out with views over the mountains and farming areas below.

Seating and barbecue areas make it the perfect spot to enjoy sunrise, sunset and the clear night skies. Across the alley, you can enjoy a private hilltop with a garden, pool, seating and barbecue areas.

This is a perfect spot for exploring Masafi, Asima, Tayyibah and also for hiking.

Chedi Al Bait (Sharjah City)

Chedi Al Bait is a gorgeous boutique hotel in restored traditional Emirati buildings in the Heart Of Sharjah. Between the traditional alleyways, you’ll find a spa, a pool, a library, outdoor seating areas and a restaurant/cafe.

This is a perfect spot for exploring the Heart of Sharjah, Sharjah Art Area and the corniche on foot. You can also hop on the Big Bus tour to take you to the other main sights in the city.

The nearby Serai Wing, also set in an old home, is now also open and guests can enjoy the facilities of Chedi Al Bait.

Kingfisher Retreat (Kalba)

The Kingfisher Retreat is an ecoretreat on a small island with luxury furnished tents with private pools. The View in Kalba is stunning with the lush mangroves, beautiful water and mountains as a backdrop.

Al Seef Heritage Hotel (Dubai)

Set in the middle of the old district near the creek, Al Seef Heritage Hotel has a traditional feel to it. It’s a great spot to explore the older area. It’s also very reasonably priced.

Dibba Mountain Park and Resort (Fujairah)

Sharjah Heritage Hostel (Sharjah City)

Sharjah Heritage Hostel is a hidden gem for travellers on a budget. Set right in the Heart of Sharjah in a restored home, it’s a haven of tranquility in a traditional setting. Shared rooms are male or female only. A gym is available for residents and a gorgeous little courtyard to relax in.

This is a perfect spot for exploring the Heart of Sharjah, Sharjah Art Area and the corniche on foot. Many other city sights are easily accessible on foot. If you’re travelling on a  shoestring, this is one of the best cute places to stay in UAE.

Al Faya Retreat (Sharjah Central Region)

You can rent one room or book the whole retreat (5 rooms) for you and your family or friends to enjoy this resort exclusively. Set in Al Faya Desert at the foot of Al Faya Mountain. Nearby are adventure activities, cycling tracks, archaeological sites, museums and more.

Tilal Liwa Desort Resort

Enjoy the tranquility of a desert resort and the beauty of the Liwa Desert. Start your day in the infinity pool, then head off to explore the dunes, go sand-boarding or visit nearby festivals. By night unwind in the traditionally-themed rooms and dine in one of the resorts restaurants.

Rivaloo Farm (Manama, Ajman)

Rivaloo is a lush green farm near the foothills of Manama. It has a large majlis/living room and several bedrooms as well as an outdoor play area, indoor and outdoor pools, barbecue areas, outdoor seating and farm animals.

This is a perfect spot for exploring inland around Manama, Al Ghayl, Al Dhaid, etc.
