Places to Eat in Sharjah with a View

1. Arabian Fish House, Al Hira Beach

The Arabian Fish House is a sister restaurant of the Arabian Tea House and my favourite breakfast spot in Sharjah. The Sharjah branch is on the recently redeveloped Al Hira Beach and has and has views across the beach and the sea.

The restaurant is decorated with traditional blue and white Emati Decor. Along with fish, it serves a wide variety of food. For breakfast, you can order different types of breakfast trays, including Emirati or a la carte. The shipwreck adds an extra point of interest to the view!

The dining area overlooks a serene beach with the calm blue sea in the background, where a shipwreck adds an interesting focal point, creating a peaceful seaside dining experience.

2. 1441, Souq Al Jubail

1441 at Souq Al Jubail has views across the creek to the government buildings with their beautiful Arabic architecture. You may have to get there early to get a seat near the window, but there is also plenty of seating further inside.

The food in the photo below is balaleet, an Emirati dish which I had for my breakfast, but the menu had a good variety. The restaurant sits above the food market Souq Al Jubail

3. The Twisted Olive, Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club

The Twisted Olive bistro sits within Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club and overlooks the golf course with its lush greenery. You can sit indoors or outdoors.

Again, they have a good variety of food and lots of healthy options. After breakfast, you can work it off with a walk around the grounds or, better still, with a round of golf.

4. Jones the Grocer, Flag Island

Jones the Grocer on Flag Island looks out over the creek and impressive-looking Sharjah government buildings as well as landscaped gardens. It has both indoor and outdoor seating and a wide menu.

5. Al Noor Island

Noor Café on Al Noor Island is a gorgeous green spot to sit in the middle of the city. You can also enjoy the stunning, award-winning architecture of the Butterfly Pavilion whether you sit inside or outside.

If you’d like to dine on the island, have a look at their offers for dining in the bay with a view over Khalid Lagoon. Walk your meal off with a stroll around the island while exploring the different types of habitats and artworks. There is an entrance fee to the island.

This artistic blend of nature and design provides a unique and scenic ambiance for visitors.

6. Lafeef, Sharjah Ladies Club

One for the ladies! I’ve spent many a relaxing morning sitting on the terrace of Lafeef and enjoying breakfast with a view. The menu is a la carte but they have a buffet breakfast once a week. Indoor seating is also available but it can get quite cold in there, so take an extra layer if you plan to sit inside,

7. Shababeek, Al Qasba

Shababeek Lebanese restaurant is another of our favourite places to eat in Sharjah. As well as excellent food, it has a view over the landscaped gardens of Al Qasba, the painted bridge, Arabic architecture and the canal.

Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. This was one of my mother’s favourite spots for people-watching!

Tall trees provide shade, and the intricate architecture of nearby buildings, including arched windows and ornate facades, frames the background. The peaceful setting reflects a blend of nature and Middle Eastern design elements, ideal for relaxation.

8. Al Zawaya Walk

Al Zawaya Walk is hidden away among buildings, and its centrepiece is a small artificial lake with bridges crossing it and benches around it. Restaurants with a variety of cuisines and coffee shops line the sides of the lake. The coffee shops open around 6-7am, and the restaurants open later.

9. Fanan, Al Majaz Waterfront

Fanan is just one of the places we like to eat at Al Majaz Waterfront and serves Emirati food but there’s a wide range of restaurants and cafes to choose from. All look over the lagoon and across to the Buhairah Fountain, Al Noor Island, Al Noor Mosque and Flag Island.

This is one of our favourite places to eat in Sharjah in the daytime for the view and in the evening for the dancing fountains.

In the foreground, equipment for dancing fountains is arranged on the water, awaiting activation, adding an element of anticipation to the calm, blue setting. The scene reflects a peaceful mix of natural and architectural beauty under a clear sky.

10. Fen Cafe & Restaurant, Al Mureijah

Fen has both a cafe and a restaurant in the restored merchants’ homes in Al Mureijah. After exploring Al Mureijah Art Spaces, enjoy the charming surroundings and some tasty food and drinks. Fen has both indoor and outdoor seating.

11. The Hut Cafe, Aljada

The Hut Cafe in Aljada is surrounded on three sides by Shajaar nursery, where all the trees are grown for landscaping Arada Developments. This makes for a lush green environment in which to enjoy your breakfast or dinner.

Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. One of The Hut’s specialities is tea, so give one of their special blends a try!
